I'm sorry, nobody in the history of ever would hit from that same spot again when you can move up to the drop zone with a chance to go into a playoff.

Furthermore, it confirms that Roy Mcavoy is just narcissistic, idiotic, and selfish even. Almost ruins the whole movie for me, not gonna lie

If he would've played it safe it would have demolished the characters established character

He didn't have to play it safe. He wants to go for it in two, fine. But after he went in the water he would have gone to the drop zone, just like he did every other day

And this statement confirms you only care about sappy Hollywood contrived endings instead of established characters, storytelling and plot.

I was born 2 months too late, otherwise I would've been in this movie.

He hit a 3 wood 3-5ft below the hole and it rolled back in the water. If that's the case, then that hole is unplayable. Laying up to give yourself a wedge in to the green isn't even an option.

What the frick does this mean? He had hit in the water every other time, and every other time he had played from the drop zone on his next shot. How is it against his character to do it again?

Without that ending, Tin Cup is not a great movie. It becomes pretty forgettable. The entire point is this maverick who can't help to go for it all even if it isn't in his best interest. And for once, with this ending, it doesn't destroy him because while he fricked up that tournament, he still uses his quintessential characteristic to establish a legendary name for himself in the golf community.

It's a glorification of the go big or go home mentality that many of us Americans are so fond of.

What really gets me is he hit the 7iron 220yds earlier with the bet with Sims. Wasn't the 3 wood like 250-260 into the green??? frick he should have hit a 4iron if the 7iron is that long lol.

Like the ending tho. No one spins a 3 wood off the green tho

So BMS is a good tv show, but the end to Tin Cups sucks?

The ending fits Roy

The bull shite is like poster above said of the illegal pin. 3w spins of the green haha that's not possible.

That's the only part or the ending I didn't like. One of my favorite movies though

How do you think you look hitting chilli dippers up Lee Jansens arse!!??

The bigger problem is that he spun a 3 wood backwards off the green after it nearly goes in.

Do you people even watch the movies you bitch about?
He didn't spin it with the 3 wood. The ball stopped then rolled back because of the slope of the green.

Thank you, was going to post this.

Although I'm sure John DalyRyno could do it though.
