Thoughts on all new HBO shows?

Ballers, The Brink seem like they are going to be bad. No surprise there…..
I still have hope for Season Two of True Detective, but not that impressed so far……..

I like Ballers so far, good lighthearted show with gratuitious nudity.
Heard Brink was good, will probably check it out this weekend.
And I think S2 of TD will get much better.

Not sure where the plot line will go from here and it hasn't been that funny? I suppose the series will revolve around the constant threat of nuclear warfare, but it doesn't seem that funny to me so far.
I do have some faith in the cast though.

Ballers- terrible, but watchable if you like sports
Brink- tim robbins is funny, but pretty meh.
True Det- really picking up steam. gonna be awesome

I haven't been that impressed by the Brink? You think it has been good so far? Only moment I have found funny is when the pilots were talking to the president right before puking everywhere.

I found myself laughing quite a bit. The pace seems to be similar to Veep.

Maybe I am judging too hard. I was pretty excited for all three and have faith in most HBO shows, but so far they have all three fallen short IMO.

Ballers- it's Entourage with a football theme. I need a light comedy show anyways. Most of the other series I watch are dramas.
The Brink- Still haven't watched it.
True Detective- The jury is still out. I'm not going to judge this season off of two episodes.

Ballers - Haven't watched, I like boobs, so I'll give it a whirl when I have some downtime.
The Brink - Love it. I hate Tim Robbins as a person, but he's doing really good in his role, and really, every scene has me laughing.
True Detective - It isn't season 1. Now that that's out of the way, I'm enjoying it. There is quite a bit set up, let's so how it pays off.

Ballers - I've enjoyed it thus far. It's Entourage but with sports. Nothing more, nothing less. And that's alright.
The Brink - I thought the last episode was pretty funny. The pilots had me dying. There's definitely potential there with the content and the acting.
True Detective - As said, it's not Season 1. The last episode was a bit slow for my liking but I plan on sticking it out because it also has potential to be good.
ETA: The Brink is easily the best of the three right now.

True Detective-They have introduced too many characters with too many messed up backgrounds to follow. Enough with the fricking cut scenes of the city and the interstate

The Brink - I love it. Can't wait to see the rest of it. I love the satire. When the Pakistani driver goes to the state department and all the diplomat wants to do is pray .
Ballers - Pretty good. About what I expected. The Rock is actually a pretty compelling actor in this.
