Warning, this thread will contain info from the comics. Proceed at your own risk.

Been reading through the comics after recently buying them all in Volume format. Had been in the 70s issue wise before that, so I don't know how things turn out in DC or after, if there is an after.

Just finished the "Fear The Hunters" section. If they do this part on the show I guess they'll have Hershel survive the attack on the prison and take Dale's place with the cannibals.

Can't wait for the shows after the break. With Tyrese coming into the group so late I hope they don't kill him during the prison attack. They've done a pretty good job of mixing things up on the show enough to keep the comic book readers guessing a little while still keeping the overall course the same. Though if another black male shoes up, other than the priest or Morgan, I think Tyrese is done. Hell, Morgan might be Tyrese's death sentence. :blackhighlander:

What people need to remember is that the only thing that the comic and the show have in common is, locations, and SOME of the characters.

(Hurry up dude, issue 105 drops Wednesday!)

POSSIBLE SHOW SPOILERS:

That being said, so far from what I have read on Roamers and Lurkers, Tyrese will be around for a while. Though he's not going to be in every episode for the second half of the season. Also from what I can tell from the preview Rick and Michonne go back for the brothers Dixon. Merle comes to the prison to either pull a Martinez or actually join the group. Andrea shows up later of course and tries to reason with Rick & Co. on her way back to Woodbury when the Governor shows up in the tank. "Kill'em All!"

The way they are following the comic fairly close, I was wondering who would you cast to play Abraham down the road? Someone who would actually play the role, no movie stars but tv guys. My choice would be Steven Lang from Avatar and most recently Tara Nova... Although i guess he could be considered both. Who you got?

He's not as muscular as Abraham, but could work. He could be too cerebral, Abraham never struck me as a thinking man, just a soldier.

Well if he wasn't already on another show that ha put him back sorta at the top I would say Ron Pearlman. Perfect build and appearance. Lang would be great, but he's not tall enough imo. Honestly, don't know you stumped me on that one. Would love to see who they cast for Rosita.

Especially considering right now all we really have is Beth.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, I mean she's 27 IRL. Even after I say that I feel weird.

what does everyone think about the "axel" casting?

I liked him more in the books. although it's hard to find someone who looks that old who's built that way.

i do like that they were able to fit in a couple of "you follow me's" in there.

i would think the same thing with abraham finding his look and build would be hard.

I'm fine with it. I don't want the show to be a carbon copy because then I would know what would happen every episode. That being said I do want them to cast Abraham correctly. He has a bigger role than Axel.

Have to watch what I say because the OP isn't up to date on the books.

Even though he's on another show, the perfect guy to play Axle would have been Mark Boone Junior who plays Bobby Munson in FX's Sons of Anarchy

Yeah the vampires show up.

And don't worry guys that didn't spoil anything. It's a joke that I hope hiltacular understood.

Zombies are so wasteful. At least vampires use the blood of their victims.

Carl was just shot. :omg:

Eta: but of course he lived again. Short one eye, but alive.

Eta2: and in a moment show Andrea would be proud of, she makes a move on Rick.

90 issues down.

I've got up to Volume 17, which goes through issue 102 I believe. I will have to find a way to read the comics online after that until Volume 18 comes out.

Check Youtube. There's a guy that post them on there. He does panel shots, and half to full page shots as well. It's very handy. 105 should be up tomorrow.

Just finished "Something to Fear". Volume 17, Issue 102.

Damn shame Glenn had to die. Abraham also I guess. Looks like Rick going with the revenge is a dish best served cold plan. Stock up on bullets, organize some of the other communities to fight, and then he can deal with this Negan frick. At least that's what I think his plan is. I'll find 103-105 online this weekend and then I'll be fully caught up.
