The Walking Dead Comics question (TV Spoilers likely inside)

I'm not a comic reader, but I do have a question: up to present day in the comics (I know the comics are ahead of the tv series), is negan still alive?? If he's dead I don't want to know who kills him or how or when, I'm just curious to know if he is still alive
I know there is a TWD thread already, but I HATE when spoilers are even slightly mentioned... I picked up on a few assholes last night who were dropping hints but I only knew that because I messed up last season for myself by reading spoiler sites
TIA

He's alive. Just leave it at that.

Alright awesome.. thanks, now y'all got me wondering
To keep the thread alive - if up to this point I've NEVER read the comics, could I possibly start reading them now, at about the place the tv series is at, and still enjoy the show?? Or would the spoilers ruin the tv experience for me?

anyways, the storyline after the AOW seems pretty strange. not sure how well it will translate to TV. ive read mixed reviews about it from the comics.
personally I wouldn't mind the TV show ending after the AOW ends.
yes the tv show thread is full of spoilers constantly. I went ahead and spoiled myself on everything last year, and its soooooooo obvious

Any of you comic guys have any idea who the person tracking Rick back from the boat is?

Not a comic guy, can't help you
Feel free to spoil away, don't hold back on my behalf fellas... my question has been answered
Jeff, you're talking about rick when he was in what looked to be a jail cell? That hatchet seemed familiar - like I should have remembered it from something but i didn't pay too much attention to it
You can answer, im in this thread at my own risk lol

Alive.
As for the comics they really are quick reads. To get the most out of your entertainment time though.
Rough numbers.
1-50 gets you from the Atlanta camp to the end of the prison.
51-70 are mostly filler. And starts the Alexandria arcs.
Around 95 is the attack on the Saviors, 100 is where it gets moving in earnest.
101 through 110 are this past mid-season. 111-126 are the next season and a half.
Depending on how much you get into the art 70ish issues will be a few hours.

You can find places to download em easy.
Look up a reader for .CBR files and you can read them just like a comic book.
Otherwise it's clunky PDF.
Remember kids if you like em buy some.
(Please buy Flintstones comics)

I think you can Youtube the comic series too

I just buy the volumes at comic stores, they're only $15. Pretty sure most people here know, but #163 will only be 25 cents

I miss the variety of shops we used to have in town, but there are some creepy guys out there that ruin it for everyone.
Also there's a reopened shop that was displaced by the flood. Now on gov't by brcc.

I think it's Dwight. He eventually becomes a mole in the comics right before AOW.

that one is going to lead to the ultimate cocomolsu meltdown in the TV thread...
