So, how much of what Verbal/Kasier said to the Detective was true (besides all the side stuff he made up from the board)? Did he pose as somebody, Verbal, to the group? Or was it a totally different version that we will never know?

It's been a looong time since I've seen it so could be WAY off...

But I think the events laid out by verbal actually happened, it was just kevin spacey/kaiser actually doing the deeds and not the long haired badass guy that was depicted.

I think the main crew thought Verbal was a cripple and did not know he was pulling all the strings in the background.

Everything happened the same except Verbal was Kaiser at the end and not hiding and crying. He was lurking and stalking to kill everyone.

Redfoot, etc. were real, but he used fake names for them.

Exactly. He needed to use the other criminals to get him on the boat to kill the witness. Then he wiped them all out. He was there pretending to be verbal kint the whole time. He made up fake names and locations and back stories based on the items in the detectives office.
