I liked it. No. Wait. I changed my mind. What's New Orleans like this time of year? Mardi Gras, woooooo! Ha ha ha ha ha! Hoo hoo hoo! Whoooohoo! Look, Meryl! Same road, no cars. It's magic! Hahaha!

I liked it, but it didn't blow me away or anything. It's not a movie that I've wanted to repeatedly watch.

This is Jim Carrey's best performance IMO

I prefer Eternal Sunshine. That movie was brilliant compared to The Truman Show.

I truly believe this film not even being nominated for Best Picture in 1999 is one of the greatest Oscar snubs of all time.

Especially since its a 1998 movie.

If I recall, it was sort of marketed as a wacky Jim Carrey comedy. That's why it didn't get a lot of Oscar talk. It was also a movie a little bit ahead of it's time.

Yeah- it's marketing was off. Plus that was Carrey's first serious role so I think everyone's expectation was for it to be a comedy.

And yeah it was definitely ahead of it's time.

I agree. Carrey was amazing in that movie. It's his best role.

Life is Beautiful should have won that year.

It was just on HBO. Really is a great movie and Carrey did a superb job. Should've at least gotten a nomination.

One of my favorite movies ever. Really ahead of its time and Carrey was an inspired choice when at the time he was simply known for Lloyd Christmas and Ace Ventura. While I love Eternal Sunshine, Truman was Carrey's role of a lifetime. When a movie does a literal bow at the end of the film, it better be confident it's a masterpiece, and this was.

Seaside is still a great place to go and holds the distinction of being the first of the 30A communities. But WaterColor, Seacrest, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach are better. Seaside and Seagrove are now the low rent 30A spots and that is crazy considering that both are still nicer and more upscale than anything from Orange Beach to PCB. The 12 mile stretch on 30A from Blue Mountain to Inlet Beach is just a great vacation spot where you can spend time in 11 uniques communities over a week or two. Personally, I like Rosemary Beach the best and we have started staying there the last few years.
