Loved this movie when I was a kid. A late seventies flick loosely based on the tex-arkana area killings post WWII.

I also think it's where they got the idea for Jason's (Fri the 13th 2) sack cloth mask.

i recommend this movie in almost every horror movie thread. 1, because it's sort of close to home. 2. because a lot of the action takes place during an activity we all did as kids. and 3. the ending leaves you wondering.

ETA: There's a Mary Ann siting in this movie.

This movie scared the crap out of me.

I saw it at the theater with my cousins and I had to take them down an 8 mile windy dark country road after the movie. I was terrified.

I enjoy watching this during the Halloween season

yeah, i was a teenager back then... this movie made it a little harder to get girls to park in secluded areas.
