Lol. I used to watch it every Easter with my mother and father and it reminds me of a better time and besides it’s a really good movie

Nothing will ever look like that again.

Amazing how we have actually regressed in movie making in many ways, even when we can make anything the mind can imagine now.

Ben Hur was his best movie.

I agree that Ben Hur was a better movie than The Ten Commandments, but only one has Edward G. Robinson, see.

Rameses: Does that matter? You will be my wife. You will come to me whenever I call you, and I will enjoy that very much. Whether you enjoy it or not is your own affair... but I think you will.

DeMille's earlier religious epic "The Sign of the Cross" (1932) is also worth a look. But it's far more raw, and more violent.

Did you watch exodus? It’s no 10 commandments but I really like the fact they showed it could have been all natural explanations for the accounts in the Bible.

Anne Baxter’s daughter lives in ATL and has her mom’s Oscar on her fireplace mantle.

Is there any other movie that is iconically aired each year at the same time?

Christmas movies, but they aren’t shown on the same channel each year.

This is not being aired at the same time. It used to be every Easter Sunday. Now its a week before. I would be willing to bet there will be some some goofball, left wing special in its place Easter Sunday night.

It was aired to correspond with Passover, you know what the movie is actually about, not Easter. Its not right for it anymore either.

Passover won’t have started tonight. It’s multiple days.
