Anyone read it? It's been recommended to me by two friends, both female so i'm skeptical. Looking for opinions.

It is amazing.
I'd wait for the series this summer on starz. The book is def more for females. The show will prob be marketed to both males and females. Lots of wars/weapons/manly stuff in the book but you can tell a female wrote it.

I've read all the books. Series starts 8/9 on Starz. From the trailers I can see that they have changed it some. Books are excellent. I'm a little nervous but excited to see what Ron Moore has done with Gabaldon's work.
