I finished S1 and it's pretty good for what it is.
Klaus is a BMF

There was already a show called the Originals, so we had to rename ourselves......the New Originals!

Me and the SO do as one of our joint watching shows (I chose GOT). I don't like that they copied the brothers' characteristics and relationship from Vampire Diaries but its actually a pretty good show. With both shows I enjoy the flashbacks. Macel has been the best character so far but I'm still on season 2.

It's an awful spinoff of the slightly less awful Vampire Diaries. My wife always watches. It angers me how Klaus is always getting his shite pushed in when he's supposed to be super powerful. He and his bro were built up in vampire diaries and they were strong there not seem weak in Nola.

The GF and I used to keep up with this and Vampire Diaries, but a few years ago it just got so convoluted we gave it up. I think I preferred The Originals more because it wasn't as focused on a teenage love story, but it just got so meh to keep watching.

Klaus may be the strongest alpha male lead character ever. He makes the show. He is ruthless, brutal, strategic, and a good dad, I'm getting through S2.
I've never seen the Vampire Diaries so I knew nothing about this except it's set in Nola.

I don't like the casting for Klaus. Something about him irks me. Too squirrelly looking maybe.
