I've seen Dr. No, Goldfinger, From Russia with Love, and everything from Goldeneye on. BTW, I loved Javier and the speech about rats. Great scenery chewer.

Saw Skyfall today - excellent. The insane dude went after M - cause he was crazy.

I agree. I've seen every bond movie and this one was my favorite. Over analyzing a Bond movie seems kinda ridiculous. It's popcorn entertainment.

How many bond films have you seen? Bond can show up at a brauds house and go to town. No matter how long he's known her.

I've seen many. The women are either implied to have a back story (e.g. the scene cuts to him with a random chick who has a quip about how they met or where), or they are "the bond girl." There are very few if any that I can remember that were as out of place as that shower scene. And it wasn't a big deal, just couldn't suspend my disbelief enough in that moment.

I liked it almost as much as Casino Royale.

The one nitpick I had, one that shoved me right out of the "moment" was when Bonds grounds keeper says "this was your fathers hunting rifle" and hands him a fricking side by side shotgun. Seriously? I know Hollywood liberals are clueless when it comes to firearms, but surely they have consultants that would correct that blatantly stupid line.

Sheesh.

The most unbelievable part for me was at the end where Skyfall blew up and crashed a helicopter, but somehow didn't kill 3 guys standing next to the building.

It was a great movie, but not a "Bond" movie. It felt like two completely different movies once they got to Skyfall.

Did the double barreled shotgun look anything like this?

That was it, it looked like a side x side but was a rifle. At first I thought they fd up but that would be such a major screw up.

Thought this was the best bond in a very very long time.

It was a shotgun because he used shotgun shells to booby trap the floorboards of the house. Also old dude fumbled and dropped a bunch of shotgun shells trying to reload.

The dialogue between Bond and Silva when they first meet was real nice. Walking out of the elevator.. Javier did the best he could as a villain, but it seemed like we didn't get enough...

I walked out of the theater satisfied with the movie, but left hanging... anyone else get that feeling?

Now Moonraker would be another book to go back and copy. The movie deviated so bad from the book, you could write a script based on the book, give it another name, and no one would know the difference.
this is what they need to start doing. frick coming up with new shite they suck arse at it. remake the old shite. Moonraker, the living daylights, Dr No, from Russia with love, they need to remake all this shite. i'd be first in line. this wasn't a bond movie.
