Why the hell is Frieza Sailor Moon all of the sudden with the 4 minute spinning transformation.

I would love for it to be Future Trunks. The Supreme Kai pops over and gets him. They could have him be training with Whis in his timeline

Would Pikkon have been a good idea?

I disagree. I tend to really like these types of episodes and it had to happen. Frieza is such a savage. There was a lot of humor in this episode and we learned that there's such a thing as GodTube

It was certainly better than the Caulifla/Cabba/Kale episodes

Godtube, Piccolo and 17 meeting again, Vegeta having to defend Frieza to Trunks, and Frieza blasting the assassin through Goku's cheek all put a little smile on my face but I was left with a sour impression with the long transformation into the Gold Form when we already saw it. Could you imagine if Goku spent as long on turning SSj as he did the first time on Namek everytime?

Also, how fortunate for Beerus that Hit stepped down in the 6 vs 7 tournament or Universe 6's team would be unstoppable.

6 would be:
Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Buu, Caulifla, Cabba, Kale, Hit (or substitute Piccolo, Frost, etc if they are stronger than Cabba or Caulifla)

7 would be:
some namekians, some yardats, maybe a revived Frieza or Pikkon

In the NEP, it looks like Sidra (u9 GoD) attacks Frieza. I hope we get to see Goku and Frieza team up vs Sidra. I want to see how they stack up

I still can't get over how bad of a father Goku is. I know DBZ Abridged harps on it a lot, but it still kind of funny to think about.

I've been rewatching DBZ and with some of the moments in Super, Vegeta just seems like a much better father.

Goku:
Never shows any real affection for Chi Chi (hasn't even kissed her once in ~20 years of marriage)
Abuses Chi Chi a few times (accidentally, but still)
Doesn't hang out with Chi Chi, Gohan, or Goten unless necessary (and even then flakes out at a moments notice)
Refuses to be wished back to earth after the Frieza saga...
Refuses to be revived after the Cell saga...
Despite hanging out with King Kai in the afterlife, never once checks in on Gohan or Chi Chi during his 7 years there
Doesn't hug Mystic Gohan back
Goes off to train Uub for years instead of taking Uub in to train with he, Gohan, Goten, Pan, etc.
Is rarely with Gohan, Goten, Pan, or Chi Chi in Super

Vegeta:
Suicidal charge against Cell for attacking his son's future self
Trains and hangs out with his son (plans to take him to the park)
Hugs his son before sacrificing himself (with the knowledge that he would be going to Hell)
Suicidal charge against the God of Destruction for attacking his wife
Sticks by his wife's side for a pretty large chunk of Super so far

Goku just kind of treats Gohan as a friend and fellow fighter and not really a son...even when he is 6.

Obviously, Vegeta was a shite father early on completely disregarding baby Trunks, refusing to have anything to do with Future Trunks, etc but he grew more than just about any other character in DBZ. (Piccolo went from a villain to being a father figure to and eventually sacrificing himself for Gohan and he genuinely cared about Gohan's well-being so he may be the best father figure on the show)

A lot of people don't even think about these things. Goku's happy-go-lucky attitude distracts people from seeing how shitty he is as a family man. Goku loves his family, that's clearly evident. He just doesn't have many moments of affection.

The Japanese version, and the American version are 2 vastly different characters. That's the biggest reason why most people dont understand how bad of a person he can be.

The Japanese version doesn't care about anything but fighting the next powerful guy. The American version is a knock off superman, fighting for truth and justice. It's a major dichotomy, and rewrite, of the character.

Counterpoint :

Goku sacrificed his life for Gohan twice ( Raditz and Cell)

He refused to be wished back cause Bulma told him all the earths enemies came for him. ( Saiyans, Frieza, Androids and Cell)

He has utmost confidence in Gohan and helped him attain unprecedented power at age 10.

He doesn't try to force Gohan/Goten into martial arts unlike ChiChi who makes them study.

In DBS Goku works as a farmer cause ChiChi wants him to provide for the family.

He is naive and makes mistakes but he obviously loves his family and would do anything for them

Just caught up with the 19 dubbed episodes of Super so far.

I know I'll get some crap, but damn the dubbed voices for Vegeta, Goku, and Beerus are just so much better than the japanese versions.

Also, Mr. Satan was pretty awesome in the Beerus arc. I forgot all about his moments.

Episode 95 was complete trash. Apparently by sitting in a cocoon in hell, Frieza was not only able to get ride of his Golden Forms stamina thing but get stronger. He literally did not train physically at all but somehow is as strong as Goku now. Toei has been pulling asspull powerups the entire show but this takes the cake

I mean, Gohan got back to 100% of his mystic form power mostly through meditation too. So I suppose there is precedent within the show.

But you aren't wrong. We've seen random powerups from characters at least once every 10 episodes I think. Im the black saga there was a new level every 4 or 5 episodes, then every other towards the end.

It's what makes me believe Goku will get yet another form. They've been handing powerups out like candy.

Which also leaves me floored that Gotenks isn't the third most powerful mortal in Universe 7. He made SS3 before Gohan or Vegeta.

Actually....Gohan never made SS3, and I can't recall this enough to be sure, but Vegeta never went SS3 in DBZ I dont believe. Am I wrong, did he?

Nope. Gohan went SSJ2 TO Music. Vegeta went SSJ2 to Ascended SSJ to SSJB

The powerscaling is so awful. You can make other characters relevant without giving them bs power. The way people get strong you would think Whis is completely useless as a trainer. 17, Freeza and Gohan all caught up to SSB without long intense training sessions or fighting strong people

What will Vegeta's reaction be to Frieza being stronger than him again?

Vegeta in SSB is stronger than Goku. He became much stronger after training in the HTC during the Goku Black saga and he went in again in prep for the ToP. Goku is ahead cause of KaioKen

And Trunks did it because he got angry. They never did explain what exactly his transformation was either.

Actually, he surpassed base SSB at the time.

At least at the end of episode 95 they showed Frieza and Goke were equals in power in golden and base SSB forms. So Goku would be far stronger in his SSB-kaiokenx10 form. Question is, what form comes next.

Or....

Remember at the beginning of Whis' training he told them they let too much power bleed out and they needed to keep it within their bodies to achieve maximum power? Well, what if Goku simply figures that out? Afterall, t is what the OP animation kind of implies. After the red energy light goes out, he fights Jiren without any energy surrounding him. So he figures out to go SSB-kaiokenx10 and not let any of that power escape. Dude would be a monster. Because currently, the amount of energy he bleeds out in that form is enormous. Maybe even a full half of what he produces just bleeds out of his body, wasting a ton of power.
