In order of awesome:

Cell Saga
Frieza Saga
Vegeta Saga
Buu Saga

Cell is 1, but the others are pretty equal.

Best moment was when Gohan goes SSJ2 and straight up rips cell a new one.

You forgot the Vegeta Saga which I would put right with the Frieza Saga. Radditz sucked but Vegeta and Nappa were awesome.

I can agree with that list

Cell saga - when gohan hidden powers finally came to surface....gohans ssj2 transformation was so emotional

Frieza saga - first super Saiyan sighting (buff said)

Buu saga - the final be all push all of the show. Majin vegeta, ssj3, 2 fusions, Gohan going mystic.....a lot of stuff in that saga

Can't wait till Team Four Star releases parodies of this and the rest of the DBZ movies.

Christmas Tree of Might, Lord Slug Abridged, and Bardock: Father of Goku Abridged were phenomenal!

Yea, probably. I havent watched DBZ since I would get my mom to record it for me on VHS because Toonami played before I got home from baseball.

I've gotten pretty heavily into other anime though.

Good shows, but there are o many damn episodes that it is impossible to catch up.

I stick with the shorter shows. 26 episodes is easier to watch than the 400+ that Bleach or Naruto has.

Original Toonami broseph. Gundam was top notch. I'm right there with you though. I remember some of the Gundams, but that's about it. Too long ago.

I agree with this. I watched a couple episodes of GT, but once I saw what they did to Gohan, I stopped watching. How do you go from the all powerful to that? I know Chi-Chi wanted him to be an accountant (IIRC) but they pretty much killed my favorite character.

GT was supposed to be a throwback to the original Dragonball series.(which is great and arguably better than Z) With more comedy and less serious events. The problem was that it just wasnt that funny and not as charming as Dragonball.

It gets alot of flack but it's still an okay anime by standards.

Cell Saga

My first ever viewing of DBZ was at the end of the Cell Saga, and it blew my mind. Then the whole series was replayed again.

I own each season until the Buu saga.

My first viewing was the original Dragon Ball episodes. Goku's first great ape transformation, meeting Yamcha and Bulma, etc. Follow that up with tournament fight vs. Tien.

The one I remember most vividly though is the Frieza saga. Goku's appearance to save Gohan and destroy the Ginyu Force, the first appearance of Super Saiyan. Hard to top that.

I'm gonna jump right in here and say that DBZ is one of my favorite shows of all time and certainly my favorite anime. I was also a fan of the original DragonBall, several of the Gundam series most notably Gundam Wing, and Evangelion to name a few.

I had no idea that there were 18 movies. I've seen a good bit of them over the years, but not nearly that many. I'll be interested to see what the story is on this new one

As for the rankings, Frieza and Cell sagas run a tight race for me. I also thought the first Goku/Vegeta fight is on the best in the entire franchise.
