Who's ready?

80 minute episode! Also, we get Ron Swanson. Looks like it will possibly be an entire episode based off events taking place away from Joel and Ellie.

With Anna Torv getting killed off (still a bit annoyed about this given her quality as an actress), I’m ready for some more introductions to new characters.

Anxious to see if they can keep me all the way in for 80 minutes as well.

I was excited for a second when I saw Torv as Tess, being a huge fan of Fringe. Then I remembered.

Meh. No issue with it. It’s a relationship establishing background for multiple characters.

Some of y’all are too sensitive.

That episode was awful and boring. This show has really not been that great so far. I’m going to try to stick with it.

I guess they established background for two characters that died just over an hour after they were introduced. Good stuff.

Yea guys, we have to see Frank raw dog old Bill for context reasons. Don’t be so bigoted.

Multiple?

This episode wasn't awful, but it would have been better with a normal couple.

But how would they get critics to fall all over themselves for it if they did that?

I don’t care about having gay characters. But damn, that felt like it was just a filler episode. It barely advanced the show. Why did they waste one of the 80 minute shows on that fluff.

I get the desire to flesh out some backstory with Bill but that was too much time dedicated to it.

I enjoyed it, if the rest of the series follows a similar pace then maybe it won’t age well but I get the impression the remainder will be more fast paced. Could’ve cut it down by some but I never found myself bored.

Yes. Multiple.

Showed Bill and Frank’s part in sustaining Joel and Tess (and likely others). Establishing more of Joel and Tess’s movements earlier in the story. Showed what would likely happen if you had the opportunity to create a full on compound like Bill and in part Frank did. And how that works here.

Also does a good job of showing the humanity still existing in a post-apocalyptic world. I’m sure we’ll get plenty of action and killing.

What background? What characters? Only thing that episode did was get Joel a vehicle and supplies.

Literally explained it.

No need to be obtuse.
