It's official. It's supposed to be pretty moving. Can't wait. I might find a way to watch in Christmas Day.

Need to see this and Foxcatcher and I'll have seen just about everything for awards season (except for Selma, A Most Violent Year and a few foreign films).

Just got back. It was solid. Benedict Cumberbatch was pretty good. Loved Knightley.

How big of an angle did his homosexuality play in the movie? I feared they'd ruin this movie by shifting the focus from his tremendous accomplishments to pushing the gay acceptance agenda instead..

It's very good.

Homosexuality isn't that important to the movie. There are no love scenes or anything.

Well, it's sort of important because of the interrogation and his ultimate fate (not just irl but inthe movie). And they make that clear in the script and in the text just before the credits.

I am pretty conservative, and I completely agreed with the homosexuality stuff FWIW. It was done well and not in your face, and the point needed to be made. Awesome film. Story was 8/10 and the acting was 10/10.
