I watched the "female version" of the Hangover the other day.

I'd rather be punched in the nuts for an hour than watch Bridesmaids again.

I didnt think it sucked, just thought it was literally the exact same movie

I laughed my arse off at the similarites between the two during the movie

SPOILERS******

One thing that really bothered me was how little the asian kid cared about losing his finger. I would be freaking out and he literally didnt care at all

first one was an average comedy, i chuckled.

second one was a slightly less funny version of the first.

maybe it was the hype, but the scenes felt forced in some way. like the movie was trying too hard. again, could've been everyone telling me basically how i would not have a choice about how funny i would think this movie is.

This makes a huge difference in my opinion of a movie.

Bunch of friends see something over a few weeks, all tell me how great it is - I go expecting genius and it's just an average/above-average movie.. Disappoint.

Works the other way too though, go into a movie expecting crap and it's average - pleasantly surprised.

I don't care what people say, I still love the original.

#2 was just extremely lazy.

The only part I really LOL'd at was when Alan said "My uncle Roger says he saw an albino polar bear once." and Stu was like really? Polar Bears are white, how did he know it was Albino? and Alan said "this one was black."

This is literally exactly how I felt, except that I have no desire to see the second one.

ALL of my friends tried to say it was the funniest thing ever. I was also lurking this board at the time it was in theaters, but I just didn't find it to be that funny.
