The band is from Lafayette. Figure some of you have heard of them.

Their performance was cool. This was the first time I'd heard them, I would buy their album

Great performance. They won me over with that. I had only heard some bootleg shite from way back with that song on it

Bah, was really hoping you meant they were interviewing someone about a "the giver" movie (from the book) in the works

They are awesome live!
They always put on a great show. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone in the crowd not moving and having a good time. For such a young band they have their shite together. Good people, too.

Grooveshark Link - Click on In Light under Albums
Covering my arse: Admins, not sure if linking to Grooveshark violates TOS as it's somewhat a gray area of copyrights. Delete if it is.

did you even watch hendo?

I've seen them before. I went to high school with the drummer, he's super talented even though he's doing some pretty easy shite in that song. I just don't think they're that good. Good for them for making it big though.

they suck
I agree. I don't see what's so great about them.

they are some of the most musically talented musicians in lafayette and surrounding areas
givers are like a big super group that came together from different bands... but i'm sure you know all this.
they aren't my favorite music either, but damn they do have a great live show.

They just seem to be copying off of those Vampire Weekend-ish bands. Not an original sound these days. But I am sure the will make money like Nickelback did copying off of Creed, ha

they don't sound anything like vampire weekend
(and I hate vampire weekend)

Givers didn't impress me but i'm glad they made it.

They sound a lot like Vampire Weekend. Especially Taylor Guarisco

well then I don't know what to tell you then lloyd
I don't care for vampire weekend, the annuals, the dirty projectors, the thermals.. ect
but none of those bands sound alike
and givers are afro beat... like hippie kids playing reggae.
like I said, it's not really my thing, but all of those kids are supremely musically talented.
they wouldn't be signed to glassnote records if they weren't.
they are making huge national waves right now after being on tour with ra ra riot, questlove tweeting about them, playing bonnaroo and ACL...
biggest Louisiana band touring right now
