The Girl Next Door: Who would've thought 8 years later...

That the most acclaimed actor from the cast would be
Not
Elisha Cuthbert
Not
Timothy Olyphant
Not Not
Emile Hirsch
Not
Chris Marquette
But
Paul Dano
And what's crazy is this stuff happens all the time in Hollywood.

I could've tipped you off on that one

I think Emile hirche is a much better actor

Paul Dano has the most punchable face in Hollywood

Somewhat agree. And he was on track to be one of the greats...
Dano has surpassed him in quality of dramatic roles.

There is still only one person on that list that wins as "people I want to put my penis into".

Emile and Dano are both good actors.

But which one is getting the roles?
And which one had a better resume going in?
I first noticed Hirsch in the Jodie Foster film the Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys.

You're right..sorry I meant to post this as well though.
Sidenote:
Remember Project Greenlight? They were making a movie called "Battle of Shaker Heights" they originally wanted Emile to play the lead. He passed on it. And instead the part went to....
Shia LaBeouf..
Crazy how things happen.
Also... Did anybody listen to the commentary on Smoking Aces? The director was ripping this "actor" who passed up the part of one of the tremor brothers. I always felt he was talking about Emile. Well...they ended up casting Chris Pine. And now he's a bigger star as well.
Again, crazy how things happen.

Hirsch's career struggled after he did Speed Racer and how awful that movie ended up being

This.
GND is really underrated. Love that movie

I'm convinced he has the worst agent ever.

The only thing about GND I want to think about is Elisha Cuthbert.

That would be Forest Whittaker's agent. He parlayed his Oscar win into a bunch of straight-to-DVD films, a number of films you've never heard of or will ever see, and one season of a canceled police procedural.

The Shield =\= police procedural
Posted on 10/20/12 at 10:00 pm to Hoodoo Man
Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior = police procedural

Interesting thread here. Definitely wouldn't have picked him to have the best career.

So 2 Emmy nominations makes a guy less acclaimed?
Can that dork Clitz even land a leading role?
Olyphant is making bank on justified, no need to take other roles.
