Would Dr. Richard Kimble have been held responsible for all the crimes he committed while he was a fugitive?

The absolute worst crime from that movie was Tommy Lee Jones taking home the Best Supporting Actor Oscar over DiCaprio in What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

Escaping Federal Custody
Breaking into 2 different hospitals
Breaking into an amputees house (after stealing a list of amputees from a hospital)

I mean pretty much everything you do while a fugitive from the law is illegal.

You forgot grand theft auto (the Ambulance) among the big ones.

Criminal trespass into the dam
Impersonating a doctor (civil fraud)
Violation of HIPPA laws (breaking into the aumptee database)

There are a bunch, the GTA might be the worst after the whole escaping federal custody thing.

The question is, would anyone actually go forward with prosecuting someone who did all of that in order to find their wife's killer and prove their innocence?

Considering what happened, I bet Kimble would get a pardon or something from the Governor.

If he doesn't do any of this, he never gets to prove his innocence.

Nah, the worst was when he stole that old dude's breakfast when he first escaped and took refuge in that hospital.

To prove he was innocent. Not likely to get prosecuted.
