So Tom Cavanaugh just said "the technology doesn exist yet" I wonder how he knows or am I reading too much into it?

He's faster than the speed of light in the comics.

I think it's a pretty safe assumption that he's from the future. It's been talked about a bunch in this thread.

Yeah, the dude is pretty ruthless. He killed Simon Stagg in cold blood earlier in the season.

Of yea, but this early in the TV show?
But...... This episode he learned to run up a building, run on water and he outran an explosive shockwave! Most epic!!

Again, that was such a good episode.
Flash ran up a building, ran on water and showed us life hacks using his super speed. We also got some more extensive backstory on wells and foreshadowing on Grodd. I loved Bette because I'm such a sucker for darker redheads like her.
Good episode as usual.

The showrunners sure aren't scared to kill a comic character off. They killed Multiplex, Stagg, and Plastique all in their first episodes.

It leads me to think that they're going for the few epic seasons and end it with a huge fricking bang as opposed to the long and decade's worth of average seasons that end the series with a whimper.
It would be a refreshing change of pace as the long and several average seasons is sadly the norm for TV.

What's up Sentrius! Crappy tech limits my reply, but basically I agree.

Flash has a ridiculous amount of villains in his stable so they can definitely continue with this. The Rogues, Grodd, Zoom, Abra Kadbra(Wells), and a few others are untouchable but other than that don't hoard too many characters.

I don't think Wells will turn out to be Abra Kadabra. Why would Abra Kadabra feel the need to keep Barry on his path to becoming The Flash and alive at all costs? His origin story isn't tied to Barry, and I doubt he would go back in time just to make sure Barry could become the Flash.
I'm still going with him being Pariah, especially considering his tie to the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline. I guess he could also be one of the Reverse Flashes since most of their origins are tied to Barry. But I'm still going with Pariah.

That being said, one thing that I found interesting in the show last night that reminded me of a lot of the stuff that I've read in this thread (which is awesome for a non-comic reader like me by the way - I like having all the easter eggs pointed out) about Wells being a reverse flash was this:
When Barry was asking how fast he had to go to run on water Cisco started to do some calculations to come up with the answer. Wells didn't, he basically just said 650mph (I think it was 650 anyway). At first I took it simply that he was was just really smart and figured that out on the fly, but thinking about this thread and about how many here have theorized that he could be a reverse flash, maybe he just knew that information from experience?
Anyway, great thread and great show.

My reasoning? Because Kadabra's comic origin is not that great but the villain has a lot of potential. Maybe the showrunners see that as well and we're getting a cool new twist on the character.
This all pure opinion that is based on no factual evidence other than Wells is from the future.
I don't want him to be Pariah because I never liked Pariah but I understand your reasoning. And the Reverse Flash would be too obvious.

That is one of the things I love about Flash and Arrow. Speculating on what direction the showrunners are going to go with these characters (especially considering that they aren't afraid to change them up and put their own twists on them, while making them work extremely well) is pretty fun for us comic fans.

Agreed. Plus I can't help but feel that Eddie's yellowish tan jacket with yellow inner lining wasn't an accident or coincidence by the wardrobe. But that may be a bit too obvious also.
