Book 8 would have been very expensive to make into tv

The special effects needed to make Laconia would have been insane

Oh yea and the Void Cities/EMC vs the Heart of the Tempest would’ve been nuts too. Aliens worlds, huge battles, alien events, aging the cast. Would’ve been a pretty big task.

since the later books take place decades later, they can bring back the cast in 10-15 years and produce a series/movies.

I mean the story is made for it.

I suppose it does. But there is so much left unanswered about the ring gates, who made them, and who ultimately killed off the engineers. Book 7 touches on it. I'm currently reading book 8, and so far they have delved a little more into it.

Reading some of the allegations and the guy seems unhinged at best. He was good as Alex except for the southern accent holy Christ it was like Daniel Craig’s in Knives Out

Yeah it was bad though he is supposed to have a weird Texas drawl in the books

Mariner Valley, baby. Indian/Chinese roots with Texan culture and accent. With a cultural make up like that I think it’s not crazy to think that’s hard to find

Actually thought he was pretty solid. I didn't like Bobbie in the show at first, but have enjoyed her more lately.
