My ranking:
1. Batman Begins
2. Civil War
3. Winter Soldier
4. TDK (45 minutes too long - two face ACT hurts it)
5. Captain America: TFA (a little too hokey in Acts 2-3)
100. TDKR (absolutely terrible movie across the board)
The only thing that makes this close is the Batman Trilogy up to Rachel's death was near perfect. After that, though, it quickly and immediately becomes a train-wreck. In contrast, the Captain America movies have gotten better and better.

That's subjective. In my opinion they did and a majority of critics and fans agree with me. This board is one of the few exceptions to that rule.

No. They absolutely did not. Warner Brothers still hasn't recovered

The movie was well received. Go look at rotten tomatoes critic and audience scores. I don't know anyone that hates it as much as this board appears to.

Which is hilarious, I see it losing a chunk of its luster, but then that comic book movie list came out last week and it was like #18. Yeah, no way. The movie sucks.

from what, the box office success and 87 % fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes?
Posted on 5/13/16 at 10:46 am to RLDSC FAN
It was well received because it was a Nolan Film that came on the heels of TDK and Ledger's death.
If that same exact movie was released today with Snyder's name attached it would have gotten a 15% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I've defended it here as not nearly as bad as this board makes it, even so it is an incredibly flawed movie.

Yes we know, Rotten Tomatoes and Audience Scores matter for TDKR but not for Man of Steel and BvS.
Got it!

You're so predictable. Literally no one has mentioned Bvs, but how did I know you would bring it up

I'd just like to point out, in case any one missed it...I am labeled a "Nolan hater" on this board...please see my number one comic book movie off all time. I really do love that movie. Without it, we might not even have this new form/wave of comic book movies today.
But there is no denying Marvel is kicking arse and taking names right now.

And so are you guys with using that audience score to defend TDKR as some good movie that "everyone likes but this board is so different,"
And you probably knew I'd bring it up because it's incredibly hypocritical, glad you realize that.
Seeing as, if Rotten Tomatoes makes TDKR a good movie that "this board just hates," then it makes BvS worse than:
Iron Man 2
Iron Man 3
Daredevil
Ghost Rider
Green Lantern
Batman Forever
and a plethora of other movies. I'll take it.
FWIW, I don't use, and try never to even quote, RT scores as some metric of quality, but it's ALWAYS brought up in the TDKR discussion. Always. But shunned in the "critics are being paid" narrative of BvS. It's just funny.
BTW, I love BB and TDK, great movies. My disdain for TDKR is because it ruins an otherwise fantastic series. That movie blows.

I agree that BvS is worse than all those movies listed.
and TDKR isn't all that bad. I mean, it's clearly not perfect, but Bane is a good villain, it has some exciting sequences, I really liked the scene where Alfred leaves Bruce. There's some good things going on in the movie.

Just pointing out a statistic, I'm not going out of my way to defend it. It's a very flawed film, I agree. You happy now?

Dafuq. Batman Begins is an awesome movie.

So can unknown's comment about it being more about Nolan and the previous two movies than TDKR being a good film possibly be correct? So those scores, that are used as some marker of quality, not be so correct?

Um, I haven't even posted about BvS in weeks i non-BvS threads (and I don't even think I've been in a BvS thread in weeks). And the post has little to do with BvS and more to do with the sometimes weird justifications of some DC films, ie that TDKR is good because scores tell us, but BvS scores don't mean anything and it's still a good film.
If the scores never came up, no one would be talking about BvS.
Like I said, I probably dislike TDKR more than BvS because it ruined what would have been a GOAT trilogy.
