Not necessarily. Treasures are found all the time from sunken ships and no one hears about them. They could just find some treasure and it not be that historically significant. It's probably just pirates treasure and has nothing to do with the Knights Templar or The Queens Jewels.

The fact that treasures are found from sunken ships has little to do with the likelihood that "treasure" will be found on Oak Island. What are the odds that ancient pirates had the resources and time to build a deep, underground bunker in a way that modern, well funded endeavors can't replicate?

That island is littered with sinkholes. It seems reasonable to me that ancient explorers came across a very large sinkhole and decided to explore it. They decided to build decks every 10 feet to prevent catastrophic injuries from falling or collapse. Each deck had an entry hole to the next level below it. It probably enabled them to feel somewhat secluded, but with the number of people it took to construct it, I seriously doubt anyone involved would have left anything of value behind.

You do know the show was filmed months back. If something was found, other than coconut fibers, I do think we would have heard about it by now with todays fancy google machines

I'll still watch it though

My daughther hates the show. Therefore I ask her questions about her day in that retarded voice of the narrator.

Other than the fact that gold chain and parchment paper was already found through drilling into the pit area and the slab with the strange writing on it.

Your idea of them "exploring a sink hole" doesn't add up for several reasons. First, sinkholes are rarely over 40 or 50 ft. They found the log flooring all the way to 90 ft where they then found the stone with the writing on it.

Also, if it had been a sinkhole, you wouldn't build a solid platform of logs every 10ft to explore it. How would you get up and down if you built a solid platform above and below you?
Also, there would have been empty spaces between the platforms as not all of it would have filled in. This theory also does not explain the flood tunnels which are, without a doubt, there.

Someone buried something there. That's pretty much non disputable. Who did it or what they buried is the major question.

:Narrator Voice: A piece of wood? In a forest? Could this wood have been left there by the Knights Templar?

I have always been fascinated by the Oak Island story and watched the first two seasons. I gave up on it because the show is total BS. Just dragging things out and wasting time. It got way too redundant and outlandish.

A lot of folks believe this is a natural phenomenon, because of the topography and geology of the area. Not conclusively proven, but supportable.

I think so, too. But it may have just been a great troll job from the past.

Does anyone else get the feeling they are watching a sequel to the National Treasure movies. Only instead of finding a hidden room behind the empty hidden room that is full of priceless items, they will find, behind the empty room, an even larger empty room?

Would be cool to have the validation, but the case of blue balls will be horrible!

I've wondered that too. Or some kids buried their damn marbles there or something. That shite would be funny as hell if all they found was a chest with a sack of marbles in it and a note in a kid's handwriting that said something like "leave my damn marbles alone".

The rumor is they actually knew exactly where to dig all along and were just doing the other garbage stuff for the show and that they did find some stuffing the money pit but it's not very significant historically.

At least that's what's being posted in forums regarding the show.

I hate myself for being so infatuated with this show. Every week it pisses me off, but every week, there i am, glued to watching a crane pull out some lumber.

Hey, that "lumber" was painstakingly placed there hundreds of years ago by the Knights Templar.

Show some respect.
