I think I actually like it better than Minas Tirith.

I'm always confused about what actually happens. It seems like so many different breaches happen and the good guys still find a way to retreat effectively.

Helms Deep is fricking awesome, but I think I slightly prefer Minas Tirith.

I like Helms Deep more in the book but Minas Tirith in the movie.

Well, up to the point the before the ghosts took over. I never did like the deus ex machina of the ghosts.

I mean why the hell didn't Aragorn just hold them to cleaning out Minas Tirith and Mordor before releasing them? And if they could only fight in one battle, then send them to clean Mordor and sacrifice Minas Tirith.

Watching the movie, I would assume that most of those warriors had no strategic experience at all. Lots of obvious holes.

I do. It seemed "more believable" than Minas Tirith. I remember watching it for the first time and just getting amped up when Helms Deep was happening. It's just a kickass battle scene.

The ghost warriors ruined the whole Minis Tirith battle for me.

Ehh not a big fan of them either, but Eowyn vs the Witch King, the Ringwraiths diving on Minas Tirith, that ugly arse Orc jumping out of the way of the rubble heading his way, Riders of Rohan stomping all over their asses, Legolas taking down a god damn Elephant... badass.

Gandalf appearing on the hilltop with the Riders of Rohan gave me chills.

This was by far my favorite fight "scene" in the book as well. The movie did things slightly differently, but it was still great.

Loved it.
