TCM Saturday Presenter Chick

99% of everything TCM does is to quality, classy stuff... But whoever this girl is presenting their Saturday features -- which are usually all good movies-- simply doesn't cut it.
First, she is not a good presenter at all. She seems timid and quiet.
Second, I'm sorry, but I don't really care to have a 27 yr old telling me about John Wayne and his studio relationships or Kirk Douglass's production company...and if you DO have somebody that young, at least make it someone who has deep connections to old Hollywood such as Mankiewicz when he first began. I think this girl won a contest or something.
I'm not doubting her knowledge or love of old movies, but something about it just doesn't work for me. Hell get some older, barely working actress if you want a woman presenter.
They all have screen presence and obvious Hollywood knowledge.

Letterman I thought had some really good takes on Dean and East of Eden.
He was so over the top and intentionally stealing scenes in that movie it would have made me crazy if I was the other actor in his scenes.
Why didn't Kazan tell him to tone it down and not act like a cartoon caricature? Or was that kind of "new" acting so en vogue during that time that no one cared.
