I liked the first few seasons better. When there were few if any "reward" challenges and people actually had to "survive". It's not survival anymore if they are giving you food and fishing gear and blankets and fire.

I agree, they need to go back to a more basic game. Make the contestants use only what they brought with them.

They're giving the "rewards" during the immunity challenges.

Either way, handing them food and supplies for winning the competition ruins the whole "survival" theng.

I dunno, I didn't really enjoy the starvation seasons, like the 2nd one in the Outback. Listening to people complain about being hungry all the time, and that their hair is falling out, and having no energy but to lay around all day is not all that entertaining, nor is watching them melt away like they're at a concentration camp. The show's never really been about "survival" given that there's a crew ready to rescue them at all times when they get into real trouble. Even now they still have to fish and forage to supplement the food they're given, and I think that's good enough.

I'm calling it now: Ozzy wins the duel. The two tribes merge. But it's not the re-entry point for whoever's on Redemption Island, forcing Ozzy to stay out there.
