Looks like we get to see if those lazy arse Millennials can whoop our asses.

The Emmy Award-winning series returns this fall for its 33rd season, themed Millennials vs. Gen X. It will feature 20 castaways, separated into two groups by their generation and forced to compete against each other with the same ultimate goal: to outwit, outplay and outlast one another. Ultimately, one will be crowned the Sole Survivor and win the $1 million prize. The show is hosted by Emmy Award winner Jeff Probst.

Wish it was Boomers vs Millennials since the Boomers can't stop talking about how shitty Millennials are, even though they raised them.

I've watched every season except one, but I think I've finally had enough. May sit this one out.

I've been on a Survivor kick lately. I've missed so many seasons in the past, so I started with Season 1 and working my way up. I'm glad it's all new players the past couple of seasons.
And while Season 1 was great in its own way, the filming/editing compared to the new shows is terrible.

I hate the term 'millennial' so much. I technically missed Gen-X by just a few yrs. They used to call us (1980-1988ish) Gen-Y...I want that term back!

I was not born anywhere remotely close to the milleniun nor do I want to be associated in any way with those complete morons.

Gotta give the edge to Gen X because cynicism seems like a better tool than idealism in that setting.

Agreed, Cynicism is an offshoot of realism… which plays well in a competition, gotta evaluate situations realistically, it's not rainbows and sunshine.

Tail end of Boomers 50-60 could easily have 20-30 yr old kids… so yes, they did raise them.

Broad generational labels are usually stupid, and most of us use them strictly for humor or pointless shite-talking.

Thinking that there's one type of "millennial" is like thinking that everyone under 40 in the 60's or 70's was a hippy, when in reality that was a small subculture that garnered a lot of headlines.

But it gives aging journalists at publications like Time Magazine something to talk about when they're trying to prove they understand the kids today.

This exactly. I'm 1980. I'll be a Gen Y. But if the label is Millennial now, then I'm claiming Gen X.

I might watch this for the first time since Rudy was on. They better not rig it in favor of the millenials.

According to some website, I'm Generation Y, whatever that is.

My siblings and I cover 3 different cohorts.

I'd say a true 'millennial' is somebody born after about 1990-1995.(or graduated HS after about 2006). If you have no memory of life BEFORE the Internet and cell phones and were not a teenager or adult when 9/11 happened…. You're a millennial.

Id day people born about 1977-1988 are true Gen Y… 80s/early90s kids who grew up in the "old world" (pre Internet) but are still extremely Tech savvy and knowledgeable.

I can't stand when they divide tribes by arbitrary definitions (sex, race, age, generation). The only good season when they did that was Amazon. They always end up with people on the tribe that don't fit too (girl on Brawn last year and a 50 year old on Gen X). That's a Boomer. Btw, the players had to be evacuated this season because of a cyclone.
