Great movie. The script and acting absolutely sizzle for the first three-quarters of the movie. Electric stuff. Nonstop energy. Fassbender and Jeff Daniels absolutely nail it. There's one unforgettable scene between the two; it'll take some further reading on my part to appreciate all the details. Kate Winslet has one particularly good scene, but she spends the rest of the movie alternating between having an accent and not having an accent and generally having a fairly forgettable character (maybe by design). The movie comes straight out of the gate full-speed ahead, and doesn't blink or slow down until the final half hour or so (where it kind of lost me a little). Except for some bad child acting (Is there any other kind? I'm starting to wonder), the script is absolutely cracking. I think it should be a lock for a Best Screenplay nom and a favorite to win. Fassbender and Daniels are definitely deserving of Oscar noms too.
Fascinating story, and told from a unique and intelligent angle. Definitely worth multiple viewings. Watching the movie, listening to the dialogue, it just made me appreciate that there are some really smart people out there (and I don't just mean Jobs's people - but the type of people who make these movies). I'm inspired to go out and buy the book now, so I can better pick up on all the details.
Highly recommended.
9/10
ETA: Even better the second time. Nearly perfect.

Well it was written by Aaron Sorkin, so cracking dialogue was always a given.

One of the best paced movies I have seen in a long time. Fassbender was really convincing. Thought Daniels was good, not great. Winslet was okay. Screenplay was very sharp.
