I liked Voyager. Kinda took the whole trek universe back to discovery - so, it was cool. Check it out on Netflix.

All solid. Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy was a good one and I liked how they followed up on his command protocols in Workforce and the penultimate episode.

If I had to name one favorite episode of the entire series it would be tough- but as far as rewatchable enjoyment- it seems to come down to Scorpion or Scientific Method.

Here's a try at a top 5

Scorpion
Dark Frontier
Scientific Method
Dragon's Teeth
Equinox

Refresh, CBS.com has some issues. Episodes appear and disappear etc.

One thing I've realized is the problems with the characters like several have said with Kes and Tom is the wasted potential.

Voyager had a great premise, but it tends to dominate the series. Way to much is made about going home to actually show a true lesson.

Every decent character had more than a search for humanity they had family issues. Tom's daddy issues. Torres mommy/daddy (whichever was the klingon) issues. Doc's search for a name/family. Kim letting down his parents.

There motto was to the journey. Their moral should have been more that it was not the destination but their journey that was important.

How these literal and metaphorical orphans became a family.

Voyager is ripe for a bigger budgeted reboot for these reasons. And straight reboot only changing nessecary things.

I really love the concept of this episode. It's one of my fav star trek eps of all time. I'd group it with another unique ep, "Lower Decks" from TNG. They have nothing do do with each other, but definitely took different paths to story telling than most Star Trek episodes. Lower Decks was cool because you got to see the characters that you know in a roll that made you appreciate that they were senior officers...something that gets lost pretty often.

I just sketched out the plot of an "all crew" reboot (or nearly so - the bookends are hard to figure, I mean the "contemporary crews").

A group of rogue "founders" (Changelings from the Gamma quadrant) - make an attempt to seize both sides of the Bajoran wormhole. Kira is now a Captain in Starfleet, while maintaining the rank of General in the Bajoran militia, and commands DS9. Picard is the Admiral they send to be the overall CINC - this interrupts his planned retirement. Janeway is also of flag rank, so we'll have to figure out how to include her - perhaps she is on a secret, undercover mission in the Gamma quadrant and brings the information back - something like that - perhaps have her the point man in the Gamma quadrant.

Riker commands the 1701-E, Chakotay Voyager and we can have some cross leveling of crews that may have occurred (perhaps have Kim on Enterprise and Geordi on DS9 - and perhaps dual-hatted as commander of Defiant - those details can be worked out later).

Call whomever out of retirement we have to. Make it a 3 movie arc.

I was talking about AMC doing a straight Voyager remake.

Blink of an Eye was a great episode. Loved the fun science involved. I also remember seeing Daniel Dae Kim for the first time and remembering him from the ep when I watched Lost. I also really liked "Lower Decks" from TNG as well. Voyager did a very good episode in the same vein called "Good Shepard" in season 6 where the actor who played "The Boy Who Could Fly" was a lower deck malcontent.

I vaguely recall this. I need to check it out again...it's been I while since I watched Voyager.

I like where this is going. Though Riker may be too round these days to fit in the Captain's chair.

I would say someone like Worf would be better as the secret agent in the Gamma quadrant. But I like your thought process.

I had the same thought - since I was sort of taking Defiant away from Worf, I thought, a Janeway and Worf team in the Gamma Quadrant might work - have Quark and Garrick have to go find Odo.

I never watched the later seasons of DS9. Did Quark ever become more than a bastard bartender running a holosuite business?

Since that is who he was, in essence, no (and yes). If you haven't seen the episode "The Magnificent Ferengi" - you owe it to yourself. Iggy Pop plays a Vorta and it is chock full of awesome.

I'm sure it was a joke in the writing room - originally - "Let's have a team of Ferengi take on the Jem'Hadar."

...wait a minute...

I may be on board. What are you thinking, an episode a week? Longer?

By the way, I just got NetFlix, and they do NOT have DS9. So annoyed.
