i pretty much loved anything about riggins. literally anything. saracen storylines were great as well and normally more meaningful.
obviously the landry/tyra murder plotline was bad, but i got over it pretty quickly. i didnt love any of street's plots to be quite honest. i was relatively interested in him early on, but lost interest pretty quickly.
riggins and saracen drove the show for me, but i loved vince and luke as well in what was basically friday night lights part 2.
the storyline about luke getting becky pregnant or whatever that was was pretty terrible IMO.

The best thing about the show was how it covered up all the stuff that guys hate watching in a show (love, relationships, etc) with football. I mean how many times in 5 seasons did Coach Taylor's teams win on last play of the game. It sucked me in though. One of my favorite shows of all time

There was no one I hated more on the show than Joe Mccoy. Complete douchebag.

I never understood why Luke Cafferty didn't get the major national attention like Vince Howard.

I'm due for a rewatch for sure.
Best is totally Saracen's storyline. If you don't catch some feels from the episode "The Son" you are inhuman. And it's not just because it's poignant that it's good -- he's just a relatable, everyman type character.
Obviously Tyran/Landry murder is the worst. It's one of the worst arcs in TV history, IMO.
One thing I will say about the show is that they generally weren't afraid to cut bait on a storyline that just wasn't working, or at least that's my recollection.

If Cafferty was the man at Dillon before Coach T left I never understood where he was when he was younger. Kids don't really go zero to bigtime playmaker overnight
I did love the first season with JD McCoy when they made him the comedic humor of the season. I thought it was kind of dumb, but I guess somewhat accurate, when in the next season after Coach T left he was just a dick to everyone.
