South Park thread are basically the same as the rant after a game.

I still LMAO at all the older ones though.

Says it all.

Personally, when I go look back at most of the episodes from the first 2-3 seasons, I cringe. Many of them are just terrible.

Agree... I still think the old episodes were good, but I don't enjoy them as much as the more recent stuff.

south park really aged with its audience.

I would guess it is more appealing to adults now than in 1997

Agree, when they first came around, it was just random jokes and story lines. The fact that they have made it more of a social commentary on current events has really made it more dynamic IMO.

And extremely juvenile, surface jokes with little to no substance.

They grew drastically as writers of comedy.

I guess I liked the silliness and randomness. Not really interested in social commentary all the time. I'll take Gobbles and a Les Mis obsessed singer over Cartman's multiple personality disorders any day.

Last years Halloween episode was good, with Blockbuster video and the Avengers. Or was that 2012?

Finally saw it. Absolutely brilliant. Such a great start to another season.

I was actually thinking about starting a thread on how South Park has basically matured/grown with much of its audience
