It depresses me that people think SoA is some great show and they haven't even seen the show that built that network (the Shield). There is a big difference in quality between the two. SoA is fine as entertainment.

And Sutter is a fine writer - he cut his teeth writing on The Shield, hooked up with Peg Bundy there, and got his own show set in the same cinematic universe (SOA). He is also a serviceable actor, playing an Armenian hitman in The Shield.

So, I'm sure the writing was excellent in SOA, and Pearlman and Sagal, I'm sure, delivered wonderful performances. I just can't stand that kid.

The show started out great but went off the rails fast. Similar to Nip/Tuck, the show became unwatchable.

I am just sad for you and I liked SOA but there are sooooo many more shows that are superior.
