The most amazing thing about War/Apes is how enamored Reeves is with faces. So much of the film is in close-up. You fall into the eyes.

Please go see this movie and see it again. Reward this kind of effort. Make Hollywood notice.

#WarOfThePlanetOfTheApes is the bleakest summer blockbuster I can recall. Suicide, torture, whipping, crying monkeys. It's unrelenting.

Saw #WarOfThePlanetOfTheApes - that upcoming Batman movie is gonna look AMAZING.

#WarForThePlanetOfTheApes is magical. Apes on horseback in blowing snow, nuanced acting by Apes & Humans! @mattreevesLA rules!

I wonder what happened to Keri Russell's character from the 2nd one?

I could make an argument that this latest rendition of Planet of the Apes is the best reboot Hollywood has ever done.

I'm really pumped for this. The poster for it is one of the best I've ever seen:

I'm trying to think of one that is comparable... maybe the Dark Knight trilogy, but that's all I'm coming up with on the top of my head.

I wouldn't consider the Dark Knight triology a reboot

Then in that case, it is the best.

They rode on horses last movie firing machine guns, and it was one of the most glorious things I've ever seen.

I'm trying to think of other good reboots. Star Trek has been pretty good but not on the level of Planet of the Apes.

Glad to see positive reviews. I am really looking forward to seeing this movie and was hoping it wasn't going to be disappointing.

Not a fan of what they're doing with Nova. She'd better grow up to mate with Taylor.

Those poor horses on the sides of Caesar carrying the gorilla and orangutan, I fricking feel sorry for them. Apes get intelligence and get as lazy as the fricking humans!

I'm pumped about this movie, but why would monkeys ever want/need to ride horses?

That's like a superhero being able to fly, but instead he chooses to fly commercially.

Apes get tired easily. Far quicker than humans. And humans can easily travel greater distances than Apes without keeling over and dying. Humans are built for endurance...most animals are not.

Sure the Apes are faster in a short distance and they can climb trees with ease, but they aren't fighting in trees...they need the horses more than humans do to get from battle to battle and place to place.
