I love how pissed Kevin gets when Paul has the fricking nerve to want to hang out with other kids in their class. Kevin can hang with Doug Porter when he's pissed, but let Paul ride bikes with Brady Ryland, and shite hits the fricking fan. And all because Kevin tried to lowball Paul for his Willie McCovey baseball card.

It pissed me off that Doug Porter just disappeared from the show. Craig Hobson, not so much.

The respect that Jack showed Wart was awesome.. He'd always been the idiot friend but Jack knew what he'd been through.

The development of all the characters and how they matured and interacted with each other along the way was superb.

Kevin does treat Winnie like a dick when she's ugly.

Then when she becomes popular at school...

He acts like she betrayed him by not continuing to pine for him.

He treats Paul like crap...treats his Mom like crap...and continuously whines to everyone about how the world owes him...and every episode is about what girl he is or isn't getting.

His brother was right...he is a butthead.

Madeline!

Also, in my opinion, The episode called 'The Lake' is one of the greatest episodes of a TV show ever.

Also the scene in the Episode where Wayne's buddy got back from Vietnam and he is standing in the field in just his underwear unaware of his surroundings..one of the most powerful scenes in television ever.
Just my opinion of course, but there were some truly magical moments in that show. And I will ALWAYS be thankful that that show was a HUGE part of my childhood.

It's not that you forgot, it's that you didn't register it the first time around, especially if you watched it as a kid like I did.

Huge part of my childhood, incredibly thankful for the show, but yes, on re-watching it as an adult, Kevin is a total jerk.

It didn't dawn on me as a kid because, like jerk Kevin, I was also a kid... and therefore a little jerk as well.

I remember that episode. In fact, I caught the show one day on some random channel and was excited as hell, and that was the episode that was on. It's great.

Jack is the best character on the show IMO.

True. It's prolly mainly just because I am seeing it as an adult. Good call. Although I can remember thinking the same thing when I was younger as well...just not quite this much though.
