Which of these two characters do you despise more?
After watching Breaking Bad, I absolutely deplored Skyler.
After seeing the last few episodes of House of Cards, I think Claire may have taken over that #1 spot for me.

Skyler sucked pretty bad for how she played the whole affair thing, but otherwise Walter put her in a horrible position. She gets more hate than she deserves.
Claire was really cool the first couple of seasons. She starts sucking in the third season due to some crap writing.

Frank is doing work in that show, and she is leeching along. She finally crossed the line into full on c*nt mode with that stunt in Russia.
Furthered the stereotype of a female politician letting emotions influence her decisions. All over a drama queen who committed suicide after preaching about how courageous he was being. Screw her.

I do not like Claire. She's a self-entitled bitch who gets more than she deserves. Frank went out of his way to make her happy last season and she just spat in his face in return.
He was trying to make headway with Russia and she destroyed any possibility of friendship between our two countries when she stood beside that dumb arse who ended up killing himself in lieu of apologizing. She then goes on INTERNATIONAL television and condemns Russia and its President after the two countries reach a mutual understanding. What an idiot.

You do have to give the benefit of the doubt to Skyler that she didn't marry a murderous drug kingpin. He unexpectedly became that.
Claire on the other hand knew exactly who she married and has actively gone along with her husband's murderous schemes. But somehow when a narcissitic gay guy in Russia kills himself, she suddenly has the balls to change a world wide peace treaty despite being the Ambassador to the UN. Claire can go frick herself.

I hate both characters, but I hated Skyler and her fricking sister the entire series of BB. Skyler is a character you should feel for, but she is so unlikeable that I just hoped that one of Walters enemies would kill her.

ETA: Skyler was nagging bitch to a husband who was trying to make ends meet while having cancer and an obnoxious and ungrateful cripple son.
I hated her far more than any television series character I've ever watched. Then season 3 of HoC happened. That last episode put Claire in the clear #1 spot for fictional c*nts.

First season Claire was awesome. They were like the perfect power couple that were willing do anything to get to the top.
Didn't care much for the "what about me?" stuff in the last season though. As Frank put it, there's only one chair at the Oval Office desk. What did she expect?
With that said, she is infinitely better than Skyler.
