This was my show for the longest time and kept praying they would eventually bring Zach back. Anyways, about the time Bones and Booth had their child, I lost interest. I don't what it is, but when all of the characters of the show start becoming too chummy, it loses it's appeal for me. I always wanted them to quit giving Sweets as much crap as they would about being a psychologists and his age, but him and Booth being kind of buddy-buddy didn't work for me. It's kind of what happened to me with NCIS this last season. I heard it got better, but it almost became a sitcom. Also, both Bones and NCIS started taking this path of the cases being an afterthought to whatever personal drama was going on.

I've read a few major plot points that have happened with Bones and I'm sort of intrigued to get back into it, but I feel it won't grab me like it used to. Does the show regain it's "edge", or is it just more baby drama?

Bones came back from being in hiding because she was framed by that one "villain" who was on house arrest but kept fooking the ankle bracelet or whatever. But then he gets off because he wasn't who he said he was or something. I don't think I watched much after that.

My wife used to love it, but they just got more and more gory with the bodies and she was done.

There is still some of the Pelant storyline left. Also, something big happens. I missed most of Season 10.

I'm probably 2 seasons behind. I should probably get back into it.

I did the same thing you did. After they got together I watched one more season and then stopped, without the tension it just wasn't the same show.

I also found out something major happened

Yeah, I read about that (I'm not too bothered about spoilers personally), and that's kind of why I want to get back into it. Not that I'm a HUGE fan of main characters getting killed off, but that's the drama this show needs from time to time. Them killing off the british intern was so sad, but great TV.

I liked the Bones facebook page and I kept seeing about "major character getting killed off". I can never resist that stuff

I have several episodes from the current season sitting on my DVR because the show has hit a big rut. This season there is no big bad guy (up through where I'm at), they're manufacturing stupid interpersonal drama. It's basically Monster of the Week with interpersonal conflict right now which I find pretty boring.

Most seasons haven't had a big bad fwiw. Hell they stretched Pelant out two and a half seasons.

Sweets replacement is, IMO, just as good. So it's not, to me, like a good character got replaced with a crappy one.

Yeah I like this guy, I even like the new squint Jessica Warren. I'm just tired of Bones and Booth. Whatever happen to Booth's son?
