I lost interest somewhere after Rick leaving and during the Whispers storyline. Now that it's over is it worth watching just to see how it ends?

No, it got pretty stupid after the Whisperer storyline ended (if it wasn’t already at that point).

The whole Commonwealth storyline was pretty underwhelming to me. The finale was laugh out loud bad.

i stuck through the whole thing just to see it to the end.

if you bounced off already and havent looked back i would say no. the ending for the series was not memorable in anyway what so ever.

Whisperer story was fairly solid but the Commonwealth was a jumbled mess honestly. Trying to shoehorn in Maggie’s reaper storyline and them being unsure on who to give the Rick story to during the CW also killing off a significant CW comic character kind of fricked things up. If you really want to all the episodes are on Netflix

Seasons 2-4 were very good.

5 was harsh.

Well, considering that it didn’t really end, I would say no.

Scott Gimple doesn’t get enough credit for destroying everything he touches

I still haven't made it through Rick leaving. I still haven't gotten over killing Carl.

The real question is what alternatives do you have? I eventually finished it, but I also found myself fast forwarding through parts of episodes.

Out of all of TWD series, Fear the Walking Dead is far, far worse. There's another spin off that seems targeted at teens, which I quit after 15 minutes.

There is no hope. So its one long nihilistic jerk off sesh. Was ok for the first 5 seasons but man if there isnt some ray of light at the end then whats the point?

Probably not. I finally gave up when they botched Negan.
The spinoff show with him and Maggie in NYC wasn't that bad though.

I also quit after Rick left, just got stupid. Thought about finishing it and heard Negan was actually now part of the crew, and was like wtf. There is no way in hell they would let someone like that in the good side after crushing Glenn and Abraham.

I was in the same place as you. I watched up until Rick got "killed". Didnt watch any more. Wife kept watching and started watching the last season a few months back. I tried to watch with her but I just couldnt take it. It was stupid and had tons of just shite stories.

And for some reason, every single couple on the show is a mixed couple. Just odd

Spoiler: it doesn’t end. I’m not sure the people in charge will ever end it for some reason.

I quit watching soon after Rick left, but this was something that bothered me. Have some sort of resolution to the zombie problem, or at least have them strive towards one.

Spend the first 5 seasons trying to survive.

At some point introduce a government lab that is working on the problem (and not just a mullet headed redneck pretending to be a scientist)

Give us a hint towards a resolution instead of just constant drudgery and nihilism.
