Great show and much better than the new CBS version. Mainly because Watson isn't Lucy Liu.

The writing for the BBC version is so superior to that of CBS. At least Moffat and Gatiss take actual Sherlock Holmes short stories and adapt them to the 21st Century. I watched the pilot episode for Elementary and the only way I knew that the show was about Sherlock Holmes is because the main character is called Sherlock Holmes. The character, however, is nothing like the one found in the books.

Exactly. I love in the BBC show how thay are able to take the original stories and fit them into modern times. Moriarty is incredibly well done as well.

Season 2 has been on Netflix for months.

Not flaming here, just this is the 2nd thread proclaiming this.

His falsetto cracks me up, but somehow it's perfect.

LOVE Irene Adler, Dominatrix.

Gotcha. I actually bought the damn thing on amazon because I got tired of waiting. I guess I just missed it as I had already seen it.

Is it just me or does it seem like they borrowed from the dark knight with the dynamic between Moriarty/Holmes very similar to Joker/Batman. I may be going out on a limb but the whole yin and yang thing seems similar. Also Moriarty is more batshit crazy than the original.

He's less "Professor" and more "Evil Genius" for sure.

There is so much more wrong with that show than just Watson being Lucy Liu.

That's why I keep the 1 DVD plan. For these instances.

This Moriarty actually reminds me of a "more visible" Red John.

BBC Sherlock is probably the best show on TV.

I watched it on my XBOX a few months ago. Sad that season 3 doesn't air until fall 2013.

I refuse to watch the CBS abortion "Elementary". Lucy Liu is fricking Watson? Really?

If Watson can be an Afghanistan vet - Watson can be Lucy Liu. That's not the main problem with Elementary.
