Anybody else watch this show? I'm on season 5 I believe, and I marvel at how much of a whore Fiona is each and every episode. I can't stand her. She's a terrible protagonist.
Side note, kev and Mickey are my favorite characters.

yep, i'm about 3 episodes from being up-to-date.
i think it jumped the shark early on when Lip made the laser-robot.
there are some interesting storylines but they get more unbelievable and over-the-top by the season and ruins any authenticity of fiona crying in a corner (which she seems to do about every other episode)
i'm going to finish it up but i wouldn't watch again (except maybe the fiona sex scenes)

Agreed. Frank is the shite. Season 4 was a drop off considering he was stuck in a wheel chair the entire season. He didn't have his usual spunk. I'm glad he's back to normal.

You nailed it. For as crappy as Frank is he actually does a lot for the family.
Fiona on the other hand Fiona is constantly screwing the family, including:
Letting Liam get into a pile of coke
Gambles the squirrel fund on her "dream" of being a club promoter
Kicks Debbie out when she gets pregnant (Debbie does suck, but regardless)
Ignoring V when she really needs her during her fight with Kevin.

Fiona is a frickup, but yall are forgetting a lot of fricked up stuff Frank has done for a few bucks. 
I'm on season 6, and already read some spoilers above, and it seems Frank does some good later on. But up to this point, he's just been a crafty homeless alcoholic with a thesaurus for a brain.

My only gripe about the story is the fact that as the last season ends, Fiona says it's not her responsibility to take care of the kids and all that crap. The judge specifically asked her if she realized what she was signing up for when she decided to become their legal guardian. All of the other stuff that people point to as being plot holes or not realistic don't bother me at all. I just enjoy the show and don't worry about that stuff. Shameless is one of my all time favorite shows. shite is hilarious.

its like a sugary drink. it tastes good at first then you realize an hour later you feel like shite.
the writing drops off dramatically and you're just left with the strength of the performance of the actors to carry the show.

I don't know how I forgot that one, that is the one thing that made me completely hate Fiona. She didn't even consult Jimmy before going to get guardianship either, then got mad when he confronted her about it, but he was right and she ditches the kids as soon as possible.

I definitely understand how people say it's not believable. It might be plausible to have each character's story arc to be true individually. But, to have them all intertwine like that is complete crap. I just roll with and laugh my arse off at it.

Geez, yall are a little over dramatic. She's a twenty something year old who was thrown into that situation against her will. And atleast she admits her mistakes. Frank on the other hand is an adult who chose to have children. And he never admits his mistakes.
