Of course, now that I think about it, Anakin was also seen wearing black in Revenge of the Sith. I guess it mirrors when Anakin defeated Dooku, except Anakin killed Dooku at the wishes of Palpatine.

That is when Luke looks down and sees his prosthetic hand, which has been wounded to show the mechanical workings, and he realizes just how much like his father he is, and then chooses not to cross over.
