1. It's creepy to sleep with your daughter but OK to sleep with your niece.

2. Murder is OK as long as some cranky old bastard does it.

Another lesson, but more on a practical rather than moral plane:

3. A judge in a criminal trial will allow you to use the witness chair to work out your family dysfunctions, and nobody will object even after they've objected to almost everything else.

And one more:

4. Don't be suspicious if your brothers look nothing like you. It's probably just incompetent casting.

he made out with her, and if it was either daughter or niece i think he was relieved to know it wasnt his daughter

no one said it was OK, he went to jail on the lesser count

1. He wasn't ok with making out with his niece. It was just a better option than his daughter.

2. Who said the killing was ok? He went to jail on manslaughter and almost got sent there for murder. He's not thought of as a murderer in the communities eyes because he did what everybody else thought should've been done to the guy.

3. It's a movie. Don't over analyze it.

4. It's a fricking movie. Get over it. I'd rather have good actors fill the roles than someone that got the part just because they look like Robert Downey Jr.

5. I hate watching movies with people like you.

6. This was a great movie

Sometimes you actually attempt to have thoughtful critiques of movies and it seems like you actually have some shred of knowledge about cinema.

Then you go and Rex all over yourself.

This movie wasn't great but the critiques you mention are so surface, basic, and, frankly, idiotic, that I wonder if you are high or simply incapable of complex thought.

I really enjoyed it. Sure it was absurd at times, but it was also a really touching story about a father-son relationship - one that isn't reconciled by cliche means we normally get in the movies. Plus I hated the character The Judge and how he treated his kids, so I wasn't sure how the plot was going to Conclude.
