Wanted to watch a brainless disaster movie and wasn't disappointed.

San Andreas received a bit more positive reviews than past disaster movies and therefore led me to believe this might be one of the extremely rare disaster movies that had a decent story and believability factor.

Man was I wrong.

While very entertaining the story is nonexistent and totally unbelievable. The Rock goes from professional helicopter search and rescue pilot, to airplane pilot, to skydiver, to rescue boat captain, to paramedic, to rebuilder.

SPOILERS:

Best cheesy one liner: While The Rock and his ex-wife are flying over a completely destroyed San Francisco they suddenly realize they can't land the plane anywhere. The Rock calmly puts the plane on autopilot and finds one parachute. He straps his ex-wife to himself and tells her that they are going to skydive down to the one place they can safely land - AT&T Park (San Francisco Giants).

They jump out of the plane without any regard where the place might crash and they literally land on 2nd base in AT&T Park...a perfect landing.

The Rock looks at his ex-wife and says, "It's been a long time since I got you to 2nd base."

Smiles abound!

What an awful, awful, movie. It was Sharknado bad. I mean it was so bad, that it was funny. The absurdity of the entire thing made it to where you couldnt help but laugh.

If you go into the movie with the mindset that this is a film on the level with any Syfy Channel made for TV movie, then you should enjoy it.

I mean this movie grossed almost a half of billion dollars worldwide

Exactly. It was so bad that it truly is legitimately funny!

I enjoyed it FAR more than 2012. At least The Rock embraces his absurdity while John Cusack tried but failed to turn his 2012 role into an award winning performance...which is more ridiculous than The Rock embracing the absurdity of his role.

I love The Rock. He's just havin' fun and laughing all the way to the bank.

As an experienced boat captain, I couldn't stop laughing at the fact that they were driving around in a boat and somehow not hitting every piece of debris that was floating around. IRL, that motor and hull would have been ripped apart with the quickness.

Not to mention they would've been running over thousands of dead bodies.

The tsunami scene was classic retardation. LOL

How about the bitch taking that Zodiak inflatable boat and ramming it straight through that sound proof impact glass and coming out unscathed on the other side

You are worried about that when none of the geology made sense either?

Rock was driving that boat sideways on the top of that 400 foot tall tsunami wave swerving left and right while avoiding those large cargo containers that were falling from that shipping freighter

But, you must admit that they hit a homerun casting the female leads. Carla Gugino and Miss Pale Eyed Boobs Alexandra Daddario are sooooo hot.

You aint lyin. Both absolute smoke shows.

As for the movie, I really didn't think it was that bad, but some of the CGI had me baffled.
