Just got out if the movie... Awesome experience.... If nothing else than the last 30 minutes. It was as good of a set piece as any star wars movie has ever had.

You could see it coming that the ending was going to be the beginning of the original. Just incredible how well they pulled it off seamlessly tying into A New Hope.

This movie honestly felt way more like a star wars movie that The Force Awakens. The details are what made it... How they replicated the 70s fashion, sound effects and voices of storm troopers and Turkey and Leia and the list goes on and on.

Good movie, but I prefer a movie that advances the plot i.e. episode 7.

No it wasn't, and there's only one reason: the characters. Seriously, did you care about any of them? Do you see your kid going home and acting out any of them? Rey, Poe, and Kylo Ren, sure, but this movie didn't give us any great character save for maybe K2. The Force Awakens was very focused on the characters and making them work, while it seems Rogue One was only focused on the action. The pilot in particularly I have no idea what they were trying to go for. Should have made him German, Irish, or Russian. Just reeked of it from his role in the story.

Yeah I like the main character. Not that chick that was thrown in there for girl power reasons, I mean the real main character, the rebel spy guy that lead the mission.

The attention to detail is what got me. How Vader's helmet looked like the 77 version with the reddish glass over his eyes and was kind of unpolished.

The 70s style sideburns on one of the pilots and the 70s style vests and jackets some of the rebels had on. The sound effects etc.

I could try hard and not make shittier movie posts than you do. BTW, this was better than Interstellar.

I liked it. Not more than Force Awakens, but still good.

I mean, a little bit I guess. As much as I ever care about a character in a two hour movie. Of course we all are invested in Luke and Han and Leia but that's with multiple movies and 40 years of nostalgia. I cared as much about these characters as the new ones in Force Awakens.

I liked the troopers in the black armor. Although I'm forced once again to wonder why they even wear armor. The armor didn't even protect them--at all--from the blind guy with the stick. I think even the girl beat some up.

And the imperial walkers were destroyed by air attack much easier than in Empire.

Yes I did. And yes my kids did. They literally as soon as we got home begged to amend their Christmas list to include, by name, rogue one character toys. Them they had an extended Star Wars play time with OT and TFA characters they have.
