Agree. Ragnar's lust got the best of him no doubt. But in the end it became about having additional children. He should have consulted Lagertha about employing an appropriate child bearer who could be kept behind the scenes. Then again, the show would not have been as controversial in that regard.

He got exactly what he wanted from his second wife. More sons. He and lagertha belong together in my opinion. I still got mad when she slept with the king despite all that he did. She wasn't wrong I just kept holding out for them to get back together. Seems they were the right fit but she became Barron.
