is the series a continuation?

do the seasons split to diff locations? If so is it the same characters or a fresh set?

Some of the same characters, the seasons are connected with a continuing arc.

Because of the subtitles, this is a series you have to devote all of your attention to when watching or you will miss a lot.

Seasons 1 and 2 are centered around Pablo Escobar. Season 3 is after his death and is centered around the Cali Cartel.

I enjoyed the series. Seems like season 3 might have taken a little more dramatic license because they include a LEO character in the third season who wasn't actually involved in the Cali Cartel case for the sake of continuity. Season 3 would have a lot less connection from an arc perspective without including that character.

Are you saying it's a spoiler that he's dead?

I was waiting for someone to claim spoilers. If you didn't already know that Escobar is dead and the general circumstances of his death then that is on you for not knowing basic modern world history.

Yeah everybody knows he's dead. But you're pretty much telling everybody who hasn't seen it that Escobar dies in season 2. That's a spoiler

It was heavily featured in their advertising for season 2 that he dies. I remember a trailer with Pablo Escobar will die or something like that in big letters.
