Was watching the movie earlier and was wondering what it meant when Fox asks Bruce Wayne why he reassigned the R&D department and Wayne says it's for a government telecommunications project that he's playing close to the vest. Anybody know why or what he's referring to?

Not kidding. Didn't know what he was talking about.

No shite fox knows he's batman but why would he need to keep it from fox if it's about "batman r&d"?

Its the system that turns every phone into a sonic imaging device. Fox would not have approved of such a system, which is why Bruce kept it from him until the end.

I figured it out. It's the giant sonar cell phone machine at the end of the movie

Right. Thanks Brightside Bengal

I think it was Fox's way of trying to steer Wayne away from what he was doing without actually saying "Batman, what the frick do you think you're doing?!"

Yeah Fox wasn't hip to the idea. By the end of what he and Gordon would call the war, Fox went down to see what was drawing the power and found the batputer, which he suspected. Gave his ultimatum to Bruce and Bruce offered the deal.

Christian Bale Batman is probably the most heroic of the incarnations since most Batmen eventually go minority report unless Superman beats him to it.

Probably being coy, facetious maybe but certainly not sarcastic.

he was referring to the cell phone echo thing that he uses as sonar. He was taking it to a large scale and didn't want anyone to know until he was done. That was really hammered home when Fox threatened to quit due to it until he found out that Wayne wanted to destroy it after using it.

Not knowing this is only acceptable if you watched the movie with a woman and was attempting to get some. If you paid attention to this movie and didn't get this,
