It's a fantasy show with ghost queefs that kill people. Just batting around some ideas for fun, let's not not take it too seriously.

Because then he would go South with Ned and get captured by Cersei.
This has always confused me. Why was it necessary for all of Ned's kids except Rob go to King's Landing? I honestly see no purpose for this. Why would the wife stay yet all of the young children be forced to go leaving them with no mother.

Not all of the kids went. It was only Arya and Sansa. Sansa went because she was basically betrothed to Joffrey at that point. I'm not too sure why Arya went though.

It's a stable time loop.
He can warg into the weirwoods and view history from there, interact as a tree can.
Because he lacked finesse he warged the tree and Hodor at the same time, linking past and present Hodor.

She and Tommen were to be betrothed. Robert wanted a solid axis. With Baratheon, Lannister, Stark, Tully Arryn all united closely by blood and purpose only minor houses and Greyjoy, Dorne posed any risk of rebellions.

They also wanted her to learn to be a proper lady
they figured if she was part of the Queen's court in King's Landing they would accomplish that goal

Why is everyone acting like Bran is terminator sent back by Skynet just because he accidentally turned himself into a circuit bridge long enough to fry Hodor's brain?

Was Bran not supposed to go as well? I was under the impression the only reason he didn't go was because of his "accident."

Rickon would be left behind in Winterfell. Bran wanted to become a member of the Kingsguard and to be a friend of Tommen. Sansa was engaged to Joffrey. Catelyn wanted Arya to go south so she could learn to be a proper lady when she was unsuccessful at doing so in Winterfell.

Well this is awkward.
