Question about Banshee

An acquaintance of mine who likes Game of Thrones(my favorite show) said that Banshee was the greatest show to him. So I started watching it and into the first 2 episodes, it looks pretty average.
Story is ok but not all that interesting. Ex-con jewel thief trying to rekindle the love with his former partner in crime, while trying to avoid mob. Dialog sucks.
The thing is that the main character is a douche and totally unlikable(jewel thief with no redeeming quality). None of there characters are likable.
Should I keep giving it a shot?

Everyone I know that has given it an honest shot loves the show. That's all I have.

I like it a lot. You definitely have to suspend belief with it though. But it's a fun show with lots of violence and sex, I just wouldn't try and over analyze the show.

Banshee is soooooo good. I think I like it better than any other show right now. It took me a while to realize what it was. Once I didn't I loved it.
