Saw it tonight. I'm partial to these American history period movies, so I liked it. I'm also a Depp fan and have been one since Blow. It was weird seeing Christian Bale (Pervis) use his actual voice 
.
One thing to look out for: the first of Pervis's men to get killed is LSU alumnus Madison Dirks, who did a fine job dying like a pussy.

That wasn't his actual voice. His fake southern-accent got on my nerves after the first 10 minutes of hearing it, but it wasn't near as bad as the throat-cancer Batman foice.
