I know people will find some way to downplay this, but Will Ferrell would be my vote.

Granted, he's a comedic actor and not an "actor" in the artistic sense, but the guy can't sell a movie anymore (excepting Anchorman 2 I guess). Ten years ago he was unstoppable, now I don't really care what he does.

Didn't he get nominated for an Oscar when he was young?

No, but I believe he did win the coveted Hollywood Kryptonite Award for his whacky part in Soul Man. They should really do a remake of that movie.

What about Tim Allen?

Guy was on top in the mid-90s. Starring in Home Improvement, the Santa Clause, and Toy Story all at the same time and I don't think has done anything too big since then (except more Toy Story movies)

Will Ferrell

Comedic actors who got their start on SNL all have their "decade" to be famous before either they literally die or their career expires. Will Farrell's decade has passed. It's not that he made poor decisions or decided to go into hiding, it's just the natural career trajectory of a big SNL guy. It's two things - the cultural zeitgeist changes and their schtick just gets worn out.

You mean Wyatt? He's an English professor now. Went to A&M for grad school and one of my friends had him as a teacher when we were in school. He's even posted on TexAgs. Google "Ilan Mitchell-Smith professor"

How about Helen Hunt:

Twister -1996
As Good as It Gets - 1997
Pay It Forward - 2000
Cast Away - 2000
What Women Want - 2000

Can you name any movies since then?

She did a movie called The Surrogate a year or two ago. I think she was nominated for an Oscar. I know she was nominated for a bunch of other awards for it.

I think it was called The Sessions. I saw it but don't really remember much of it.
